Sorry – about the delay . . .

I did not realize it had been so long since I updated the blog. The New Year has brought a full schedule again; however, I had a few weeks to relax a bit in January. With February ending soon and March beginning I am looking forward to spring. I love the spring and fall, not to hot and not to cold!

We made a new discovery this past month! We received an advertisement from a pizza place and they DELIVER! Can you believe it? I could hardly contain my excitement. I asked Luda to call and order a pizza for us and it took them one hour and ten minutes to deliver, just like they promised! The best part was sitting down and eating it! It was just like home. The pizza and delivery cost about $10.50, now I don’t need to move back to America. I have everything that counts, right? There is McDonalds and now, pizza delivery! It does not feel or looks like the Ukraine I first visited many years ago.

It is February 18th today and I still have not taken down my Christmas tree, I love the lights. Also I have been very busy with teaching, traveling and writing. I am writing four new courses for the college. The topics are:
• The Twelve Tribes of Israel Plus Levi
• Proverbs
• The Levitical System
• Grace versus Law

This month, I met a young man and his family in Cherkassy. Michael was born in the United States and as he would say “he was born a Jew.” Our first visit, Michael, Alena, his wife and I sat and talked scripture and Jewish tradition for thirty six hours straight. I am so excited about our new relationship. They loaned me a couple of books and when I return March 1st for a women’s conference, I will be borrowing the Jewish prayer book. Folks, if you have not had the opportunity to study Judaism, it is well worth the effort and time. Even their prayers reflect the Messiah, Jesus Christ in their Sabbath celebrations.

God has placed some wonderful Christian people in my life. I cannot count the blessings He pours out on me. I give all the glory to my Father, the Lord God Almighty. I pray you experience God’s goodness and mercy in your lives, also.
